MMG has just been awarded the contract to maintain, operate and manage the first electric bike project in Qatar for q.mobility.
q.mobility was one of the first companies in the region dedicated to infrastructure solutions for Qatar and the Middle East. The electric bike project is the first of its kind in Qatar, and has an initial 200 bikes located at Qatar Foundation’s dedicated cycle track. The bikes are just like normal bikes but are assisted with an electric motor, and are accessed via a computerised system which monitors them. This is a pilot project and when proven successful many more units will be rolled out across Qatar.
MMG’s contract involves the maintenance, relocation and care of the units from a dedicated workshop by the cycle track. MMG will be responsible for the provision of the units, reallocation, attending breakdowns, cleaning and maintenance (electro/mechanical).
This contract win furthers MMG’s growing green agenda, and aligns well with the Sustainable FM Interest group (Qatar) which is chaired by MMG.
